Erasmus + Program – Mobility Action – No. 2014-1-IT01-KA102-002256
Project Title
Gid + : Green Industrial Design – Implementing Institution: Itis “L.Galvani”
Objectives
The project was created following the general objective of the Erasmus + program to increase the opportunities for VET leaners to train abroad, to provide them with the professional skills necessary to approach the labor market (hard and soft). The entire course was directed to the specialization of 76 V-year students from the participating institutions through a 4-week internship period implemented in partner companies in Ireland and Romania on the design of industrial components and the renewable energy sector. Crucial to the implementation of the mobilities was the involvement of the national partnership and all entities and companies related to the project partners. The educational institutions were thus able to include the learners in real experiences of comparison with the labor market coming from a wider context than the local one, and to deepen through the internship the purely educational contents. The project contributed to the increase in the skills of the individual recipients by accompanying them on a path of insertion into the local labor market and ensuring their certification in the field of energy, energy saving or more generally in the field of construction and design of industrial components (in Campania or Italy). The internship also facilitated the formation of firm and lasting relationships even with entities/companies that did not participate directly in the project, but managed the job offer, validation and credit recognition. The implementation of the activities was facilitated by the shared knowledge of Italian and English languages, the internship in fact enhanced the sense of European citizenship. In addition, a ‘pilot action was initiated concerning at least 50 percent of the institutions and companies that are part of the school CTSs, for the recognition, validation and certification of skills in ECVET according to LIV. 5 EQF that also involved entities outside the partnership. All skills acquired by the learners were attested by:
1.EUROPASS MOBILITY – Certification of knowledge acquisition during a mobility experience;
2.ECVET – European credit system for vocational education and training;
3.STAGE ENTITY – Internsplus or Cosvitec EST (depending on the internship destination, Ireland and Romania respectively).
In summary , the project has achieved the following results : 1) enriching the training offer of the schools involved, with the development of transnational relations , 2) the transfer and dissemination of outputs with best practices to be applied by companies in the local, regional and transnational context (documentation, relationship building, identification of training objectives, certification and validation in ECVET system, etc ).

There are an estimated 44 million people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease worldwide, and this figure is expected to reach 135 million by 2050. There are, estimated in numbers, 600,000 Alzheimer’s patients living in Turkey, and according to data from the World Health Organization, it is predicted that Turkey could be among the top 4 in the world by 2050 in terms of number of patients. These data indicate that it is imperative to develop policies and practices for the health of the elderly and the development of Alzheimer’s patients and to work for the development of social awareness.
Especially in Western Europe, researchers have reported that Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are the most common diseases compared with the world as a whole. The European Commission’s report on the “Report on the Implementation of the Commission’s Communication on a European Initiative on Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias” states that new digital technologies have strong potential to help people face challenges related to dementia and neurodegenerative disorders.
EU and member state strategic goals related to dementia are listed as: Diagnose dementia, act early by demonstrating a common European effort to better understand dementia conditions, support national solidarity in dementia, share best practices for dementia patients, and respect the rights of dementia patients.
The REMEM project aims to develop mobile applications for Alzheimer’s patients in the early stages and their relatives/person responsible for the patient’s care. REMEM is an online and mobile application. It aims to improve the memory of Alzheimer’s patients and delay the progression of the current disease using reminder applications, to provide more detailed information about the disease and to ensure more efficient patient care. The patient’s relative/person responsible for the patient’s care will be able to follow the patient’s daily life using a separate but interconnected mobile application.
These applications will include individual reminders, family videos and family photo albums, various intelligence game modules, and personal skills that will provide personal comfort to the individual in his or her daily life. The patient’s relative/person responsible for the patient’s care will be able to follow the patient’s daily work using a separate but interconnected mobile application. Prior to creating the mobile application, current data and treatment methods related to Alzheimer’s disease in Turkey and Europe will be compiled and analyzed. A report to be prepared as a result of the analysis will guide both the creation of the mobile application and the book information guide to be prepared for patients’ relatives.
People living in a home with an Alzheimer’s patient have many problems and uncertainties about the patient’s care load and how patients should be treated. More than 40% of people who are responsible for patient care report that their emotional stress is high or too high. For these reasons, depression, intense stress, and tension are among the most common negative aspects that relatives of patients experience the most. Both the application to be developed and the information guide for patients’ relatives will help reduce these negative aspects.
Both the figures presented by the World Health Organization and the strategic goals of the European Union reveal the importance of taking urgent and effective measures and developing strategies in this regard. In particular, it is important to gain awareness and sensitize young people on this issue. The REMEM project aims to raise awareness of both Turkey and European youth on these issues.

Goals
The constant and growing attention, and concern, that the World Health Organization (WHO) has always directed, for the protection of human health, to the wholesomeness and genuineness of agri-food products is supported by data on the damage and effects, devastating to say the least, caused by food and products contaminated due to the widespread use of pesticides in agriculture or improper storage of the same. The challenge for the coming years will be to protect human health by safeguarding the entire agri-food chain, from cultivation to product protection, from storage to processing, from packaging to transportation.
The MAREA project proposal will be divided into two strands covering both the area of agricultural product protection and fresh food preservation (IV gamma and dairy products) through the use of highly innovative polymeric materials.

Objectives
The Public-Private Laboratory for Research and INnovation in the Olive Row – LINFA, intends to develop a plurality of actions, interventions and innovative services that aim, on the one hand to a defense action in the field of the tree crops under research with a consequent increase in production yields, on the ‘other hand to raise the level of competitiveness of the entire supply chain, with particular attention to food safety, through sectoral actions referable to the production and processing phase, with a strong emphasis on the valorization of products and the recovery of bioactive metabolites for the development of functional ingredients to be proposed as nutraceuticals/cosmeceuticals.
The lines of research developed as part of the project proposal, aim first and foremost at a field defense intervention through the creation of new formulations based on beneficial microorganisms and bioactive metabolites, selected as part of the project, with a consequent increase in production yields.
In addition, through the use of mild-technologies, the realization of new functional products will be evaluated through the use of bioactive metabolites recovered from matrices from the olive sector and identifiable as functional ingredients applicable in different sectors such as nutraceuticals and cosmetics. Finally, given the growing consumer interest in the quality and wholesomeness of the finished product, the project aims to improve safety levels and related consumer safeguards through the identification and physical, chemical or biotechnological reduction/degradation of anthropogenic (mainly pesticides and their catabolites) and non-anthropogenic (mycotoxins) contaminants, as well as any other undesirable compounds.
In line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, Italian schools become agents of change toward sustainable and inclusive development for all.

Goals
Developing a system of thematic seminars/workshops for the agri-food sector, with a view to raising awareness and updating on occupational safety, contributes to the formation of a global awareness of worker risk prevention by peremptorily affecting organizational culture. Safety management in the workplace concerns all workers; the current legislative framework, of European Community inspiration, makes it necessary for all workers to participate (Art. 5 of Legislative Decree No. 626 of 1994) in every phase of safety planning and management. This means that they are no longer subjected to the law but become active subjects and participants in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace, so much so that fines are provided for violations (Art. 93) attributable to them.

Background
CAD (computer aided design) is a design assisted first and realized later by inputting into a computer the qualitative data that are deemed necessary for the realization of the project and then the quantitative data; then the computer will process the input data and component or the project will be shown on the screen. In this way countless projects in the fields of construction, electronics and mechanics are realized: The images thus created are used for comparative purposes and for the actual realization of the project under consideration. The advantage is the speed of realization and the improved quality of the images. CAD despite its countless advantages and strong market demand is a tool that only few know how to use. In addition, new and increasingly complex computer technologies direct experts in the field to confront and learn how to use new and increasingly powerful and complex programs.
Purposes
In light of this, the aim is to train specialists in the field who can offer new and/improved skills in a rapidly expanding market.
The most natural placement is undoubtedly that related to small and medium-sized enterprises since the polyvalence of the professional figure allows flexible and versatile management of human resources. The most suitable industrial sectors for the placement of employees are: automotive mechanic railroad aeronautics and electronics, etc. It is clear that this list is purely indicative as roles and tasks, in departments even different from those listed above, may be taken into consideration against the talents and/or aptitudes that may emerge in some learners during the course
The professional figure we propose will be able to upgrade successfully in the industrial reality that has developed the need to “computerize” its processes and projects , with a view to improving efficiency and quality. Employees will deal with issues related to design, take care of aspects related to technical documentation, understand solid representation techniques, manage tools for graphic representation.

Famega-Employment of Phage and Fungal Metabolites in the Prevention of Bacterial Gastroenteritis in Humans
Prot. PG/2012/231937 submitted on 03/26/2012
Objectives
The FAMEGA Project – FAgi and MEtabolytes vs. GAstroenteritis – has as its first objective to select and produce a collection of lytic bacteriophage strains active toward bacterial targets responsible for gastroenteritis in humans, such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp, at the same time, a second objective is to do a screening of metabolites produced by endophytic mycetes with antibiotic activity toward the same pathogenic microorganisms.
The ultimate goal is to find a new product consisting of a mixture of specific bacteriophages and metabolites extracted from endophytic mycetes, which would be a viable alternative to common antibiotics already in use, to be placed on the market and usable industrially in the agribusiness and livestock sectors to curb the problem of microbial contamination of foodstuffs. The new product of all-natural origin could have potential application for controlling the spread of pathogenic microorganisms even on animals and humans by performing the task of any therapeutic agent with antibiotic activity.
At the same time, the Project has set itself another important goal, to create a database containing all the data related to the implementation of existing biobanks and to create new ones to be made available and to undertake a process of technology transfer between the Project partners, SMEs in the national and international food production industry sector, and the scientific community, thus enabling the dissemination and making available of the innovations and know-how that will be acquired from time to time during the project activities. The synergy between the various partners will be made fast and efficient especially through the application of computer systems for data management and storage that will contribute to the realization of the entire FAMEGA network.
All entities taking part in the Project can gain visibility and benefits especially for the opportunity they will have to bring innovative, patentable and highly competitive products to the market.

In line with the ERANET BLUBIO call, the goal of the EuFish project is to reevaluate underutilized European fish species through the development of species-specific fingerprints to be shared with stakeholders, SMEs and consumers with a dedicated database. The development of these fingerprints focuses on analyzing the nutritional values of fish species considered “low value.” The project aims to highlight their value to stakeholders and consumers to help prevent overfishing of other fish, promoting restocking in a sustainable approach to marine ecosystems and biodiversity. A second pillar of this proposal is to obtain new derived fish products and feed for aquaculture. The project will strengthen the economic and social development of European activities related to the fishing industry by introducing innovations in the fish sector to support the national economy.

The project starts from an assessment of the impact that the phenomenon of ICAs (care-related infections) had on the health care system, which was greatly exacerbated during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Although these infections were already a major problem in the healthcare environment, during the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the numerous hospitalizations, the situation was greatly exacerbated. Pneumonia is an ICA whose incidence increased during the Covid-19 pandemic because of the intubation that was extremely necessary during that period. Therefore, this infection has been a major clinical problem in the management of patients admitted to intensive and semintensive care units. Our project aims to take up the great lesson that the pandemic left behind, which is to act in a preventive manner with respect to possible emergencies. Therefore, one of the specific goals of the project is to develop an innovative strategy based on the functionalization of biomedical surfaces with novel antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) to develop new and safe medical devices functionalized with antimicrobial molecules (endotracheal tubes). The long-term goal is also to reduce infections associated with prolonged use of medical devices. To achieve these goals, the project relies on the synergy of highly skilled researchers and entrepreneurs.

The VETTER project aims to improve the process of evaluating and monitoring the internships carried out by VET students, as this process sometimes lacks quality and does not take into account different dimensions of students’ lives. What the consortium noticed was that there was a need for strong innovation and new methodologies regarding internship evaluation and monitoring activities. The goal of the project is precisely to innovate these processes, providing new methodologies and tools that can make the monitoring and evaluation of the student internship period more effective, so as to provide internship pathways of a higher quality. In addition, the project aims to work in line with the Erasmus+ priority of supporting the development of VET programs that offer a balanced mix of vocational skills and create well-aligned learning opportunities for all economic cycles, labor market developments and key competencies.
